Welcome to the Compost Squad
The Compost Squad is a student run team that collects food and green waste on campus to turn it into a rich soil supplement. Diverting four tons of waste a year, the students are busy with year round production.
The Compost Squad is attempting to move the Compost Demonstration Site to a new and sunnier location, allowing higher turnover of compost and campus visibility. The team will need some help and any efforts to join in finding ways to move a major part of green campus would be well received.
- Learn the basics of compost by helping at the compost site
- Help plan events such as May Day, Pumpkins To Bins, and SLAM Fest
- Build support from campus administration to support a new compost site.
