Computer Science Students

The Computer Science Department at Humboldt State offers a unique program emphasizing computational thinking and active learning. We present the student with a broad and deep core program experience augmented by opportunities to enjoy stimulating electives, study abroad, and gainful employment and experience through internships.

Career opportunities in Computer Science are endless. Our interns and graduates choose among jobs in the office, in the field, or on the factory floor. Their work may be intellectual and abstract, or tenaciously hands-on. They choose to concentrate on computer hardware, software, management, or computing embedded in other devices. They work in teams with scientists, social scientists, executives, doctors, lawyers, and more. They work in government, business, and service organizations. As our career opportunities pages explain, there may be no better time to be a computer scientist.

The Bremen Exchange Information meeting will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at noon in BSS 211.
