Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities range from shorter one-time opportunities through semester-long programs.

Y.E.S. House

Y.E.S. offers an array of community-based opportunities. The time commitment varies depending on the program and type of student involvement.

  • Large-scale volunteer events - Join a day of service and make a big impact in 3 hours!
  • Low-commitment weekly options - Drop-in knitting and VOP gardening
  • Semester-long programs - Student-led cohorts engage weekly at a set community site (students contribute 30+ volunteer hours). Students must register for the affiliated Y.E.S. 1-unit course (unless they are using Y.E.S. as a field placement for a service learning or academic internship course).

Y.E.S. leadership positions are available for students who wish to direct a volunteer program.

  • Applications open at the end of each semester for the following semester or academic year
  • Internal scholarship available for program directors
