Transfer Student Week
As transfer champions, it's vitally important that we build awareness of common transfer barriers and the diverse student needs and identities within our transfer populations. National Transfer Student Week offers the perfect opportunity to highlight transition struggles and successes and unite your campus partners in advocating on behalf of your specific transfer population. Join us for this annual event, every third week of October, to challenge assumptions, build empathy, and instill transfer pride on your campus.

Imposter Syndrome

Location: First Floor of Siemens Hall room 109
Presentation on Imposter Syndrome and how to engage and resist things like stereotype threat, artist specific identity formation, a narrative share from the lead presenter, some narrative share from major based peer mentors, and more. The lead presenter was a first generation transfer student from MT SAC to Cal Poly Humboldt for undergraduate and attended CPH for their Master's degree and is the Major Based Peer Mentoring Program Coordinator. One of the students is a graduate student and the other is an undergraduate transfer student themselves.

RAMP Major Based Peer Mentoring is collaborating with the Transfer Student Organization and hosting a student panel featuring our Major Based Peer Mentors who are transfer students themselves. The student panel will provide some questions for our MB Mentors and allow for students to ask them questions related to their experiences not only as a transfer student but how major based peer mentoring currently (in the past) has supported their sense of belong on campus.
