Nicole Arizcorreta Ramirez
Staff Lead
Hello, I am Nicole Arizcorreta Ramirez (Ella / She ). Double majoring in Criminology and Spanish, being part of El Centro for the last year has been a beautiful experience, from Event Specialist to Staff lead. It's a home away from home. I was born and raised from South Central LA, so coming up to Humboldt was a challenge but till this day I don’t regret it. I found the best people up here, especially from our communities.
I am also a SAGE Fellow, in which this semester I have created a listening circle called Regenerating Racies (RR). RR is a listening circle focused on the Latine community & each month we will have different topics.
Feel free to stop by to say Hi !!!.

El Centro allows for students to respect their culture and develop their professional, personal and intellectual skills. I am so fortunate to be a part of a center that also gives me the opportunity to very immerse myself in chicana/x identity and also receive support and academic assistance through the process.

Pamela Reyes
Event specialist
Hola! Me llamo Pamela Reyes, my pronouns are she/her and my major is ENST (Environmental Studies) with an emphasis on Geospatial Analysis. I am originally from Lima-Peru, and I consider Los Angeles and Mammoth Lakes my second home. I am also a first generation latine pursuing a bachelor’s degree. My passions are hiking, dancing, woodburning (pyrography), and reestablishing connection between people and the environment. I started working at El Centro this Fall 2023 as the event specialist, and I am thrilled to be working with such an amazing, dedicated and welcoming staff. Working at El Centro lines up with my values and academic goals as well as preserving my culture and identity. Plus, I get to speak Spanish which always makes me feel at home. Because of this, I can see how coming to cultural spaces on campus can impact students going through life challenges, especially when they’re away from home. It’s a privilege to be part of El Centro and I look forward to contributing to my community by helping fellow students on their academic journey.
Fernanda Rodriguez
Graduate Student Assistant
Hola! I am Fernanda Rodriguez, but you can call me Ferny. I'm currently in my second year
pursuing a Masters degree in School Psychology at Cal Poly Humboldt. I was born and raised in
Riverside (Southern California) where I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Cal State LA. My
interest in school psychology stems from a desire to provide much-needed support to individuals, especially considering that children spend a significant chunk of their time in school, making them quite vulnerable. This educational phase is also when youngsters transition to adolescence and absorb a wealth of information as they grow. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to provide the necessary resources they need. This motivation led me to join El Centro, where I hope to offer valuable knowledge and insights. My ultimate goal is to enhance your time at Cal Poly Humboldt and ensure it’s an exceptional and enriching experience.
