Portrait of Abigaíl Godoy-Fernández

Abigaíl Godoy-Fernández

Abigaíl Godoy-Fernández is a Cellular/Molecular Biology major with multiple minors in Chemistry, Psychology, and Sociology. She will be interning at Providence St. Joseph Hospital and hopes to pursue a medical career that specializes in Neurology.

As a first generation student who grew up in Salinas, California I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside physicians and learn what a career in medicine truly encompasses. I believe in and live by community growth and support. This program allows me to take information I’ve learned and bring that knowledge back to my community. To me, being a physician means being an educator and I look forward to my time shadowing as I know it is a large stepping stone in my pursuit of a career in medicine.
