Diego Carmona

I moved to Humboldt County since I began attending Cal Poly Humboldt, and truly appreciated being exposed to rural medicine. I major in Cellular/Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and hope to become a pathologist or immunologist. I have had the opportunity to shadow some doctors and have seen how medicine can dramatically improve people's lives. My passion for medicine has evolved as I have pursued the medical pathway, and I look forward to learning even more about how best to help patients. Ultimately, this program is very important, as it allows me and others to see more of the medical field before applying to medical school. I look forward to learning with my fellow students and am forever grateful for the opportunities this program provides.
