Rony J. Tum

My name is Rony J. Tum, and I am a second-year General Biology major with a minor in Philosophy. My focus lies at the intersection of science, ethics, and community health, as I work toward becoming an emergency physician, aiming to contribute to more equitable access to care. Through this program, I hope to better understand how our decisions—both scientific and social—shape the well-being of individuals and communities. I am especially concerned with how we can remain grounded in our values and responsibilities while navigating a world driven by distractions, misinformation, constant change, and competing ideas of progress. Meaningful progress requires awareness of our actions and a commitment to understanding the broader consequences they create.
