Jessica Citti, Ph.D.
Director, Interdisciplinary Studies B.A., Individualized Degree Plan (IDP)
Dr. Jessica Citti joined IDP as Director in December 2025. She leads curriculum and program development, designing flexible, student-centered degree pathways in collaboration with campus and community partners. She also teaches in the program and works closely with IDP students.
In her previous role as Writing Specialist in the Cal Poly Humboldt Learning Center, she contributed to university-wide initiatives that promote inclusive student success. Her work includes co-developing a DHSI Grant-funded interdisciplinary learning community with the School of Education, teaching in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and partnering with the Transformative and Restorative Education Center (TREC) to increase educational access to Cal Poly Humboldt students at Pelican Bay State Prison. She has also advised on the creation of an international workplace writing center.
She joined the Humboldt community in 2014 after teaching writing, rhetoric, and technical communication at the University of Notre Dame, the University of Iowa, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she co-led a study abroad program for engineering students in Hangzhou, China.
