Helping to Prevent Discrimination at Cal Poly Humboldt

At Cal Poly Humboldt, we draw strength from the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff. Our commitment to inclusive student success is essential to all that we do here.

We stand firmly against hatred and discrimination in any form. Bigotry, violence, threats, or any actions that harm others have no place in our community. This includes attacks—verbal or physical—based on religion, ethnicity, gender, culture, or political beliefs. While the University provides support to those affected, creating a truly inclusive environment is a shared responsibility.

Humboldt is a place for learning, growth, and new perspectives. Challenging ideas and debating different viewpoints are essential to intellectual development. Disagreements are natural, but they should never lead to dehumanization or hostility.

There’s still work to do in building a more supportive and inclusive community. We’re making progress, but there’s more ahead. This website offers resources on bias and discrimination, and we’re working together to create a safer, more welcoming space for everyone.
