Ian Carlos

Ian Carlos is a recent graduate of the University of Portland, where he studied electrical engineering and minored in music. 

A former Sequoia camper himself, he has played the cello for 14 years and studied with Heather Blackburn, and was a winner of Portland University's Concerto Competition. Ian has also received recognition from the East Bay Youth Orchestra, the California Orchestra Directors Association, and the California Music Education Association. 

In addition to his orchestral experience, he has volunteered with Melody Connects and served in music ministry at his home parish. 

Outside of music, he enjoys working on robotics projects and playing video games.
