Student Association for Fire Ecology (RSOs)

The purpose of the Student Association for Fire Ecology is to provide students from diverse backgrounds with and open forum on fire ecology through which research can be shared, networks formed, and information on employment opportunities be accessed. The goal of this club is dedicated to improving the knowledge and use of fire in land management through science and education. To achieve this goal the club will hosts meetings with various topics and agendas. -Guest speakers from various agencies (U.S.F.S., CalFire, etc...) -Opportunities for training and live prescribed burn exercises -Resume building sessions - Host fundraisers to raise money for the club -Hiking/workout trainings These are just a few of the planned agendas for members of the S.A.F.E. club. This club is focused on providing training and education for its members in order to bridge the gap between education and the field.
