About Chelsea

Following my graduation from the E&C program, I have followed my interest in environmental education. First, as the Education Program Coordinator for Columbia County Soil & Water Conservation District in New York where I ran an environmental learning center, and more recently, at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as the Project Assistant in the Citizen Science department. The E&C program pushed me to think critically across disciplines. Additionally, my master's thesis research continues to inform my career as I work on issues related to child development, education, community dynamics, and the importance of places for children.

Thesis: Changing Places: Children's Experience of Place During Middle Childhood
