Job description: I manage the environmental compliance programs for my company and the aircraft maintenance group at Edwards Air Force Base. I perform inspections, analyze regulations, write reports, draft new policies and procedures, and although I don't do much engineering I really enjoy my work.

Why did you choose this program?
I talked to engineering students and I have always had a passion for the environment. Not only did HSU's Engineering program have an awesome reputation the students were friendly. I learned program is collaborative more than it is competitive and I wanted to be a part of that community.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
The program showed me how to be a part of a team. Think critically, develop innovative and practical solutions to meet multiple objectives and time management!
What did you enjoy most about the program?
My cohorts and professors! The course work was challenging and engaging but I loved that the professors are passionate, friendly and helpful and whether we were stressing about exams and projects or celebrating their end we had fun.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
Do it, enjoy it, and be ready to work hard! Take time to revel in Humboldt county's beauty and cherish the people you meet and memories you share! Humboldt is a special place and I adore my HSU experience.
