About Jason
Why did you choose this program?
I wanted a college that had the hands on curriculum to teach me skills in a science that I can feel, touch, and make an impact with.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
Completing a Bachelors in Science opens many doors in the federal government and Humboldt State provided me with a degree in a science that taught me botany, biology, and environmental communication that helps me convey to brokers and importers the importance of illegal animal product smuggling can affect the USA economy.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
Field work, the Jepson Manual, the watershed field trip to the Mattole, and the classmates that had a lasting impression on my college journey.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
This program makes you think critically, logically, and emotionally in how we effect the environment around us and these professors will teach you hands on skills to hopefully make a positive impact through restoration.
