CSU Grad Slam

Cal Poly Humboldt’s Grad Slam Competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by graduate students. The competition supports students' capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes (or less), in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. 


 

CSU Student Research Competition

The California State University Student Research Competition is an annual event that brings together scholars from the 23 campuses of our California State University system. The competition showcases undergraduate and graduate research, scholarship, and creative works by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments across the 23 campuses.

ideaFest

This exciting annual campus-wide event welcomes more than 200 students, faculty, and staff from Cal Poly Humboldt to showcase research, performances, digital projects, and more. ideaFest is presented by the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs, Marketing & Communications, and the Library in collaboration with the Colleges. 

Patricia O. McConkey Award

The McConkey Awards are given in memory of Patricia McConkey and her many years of service to Graduate Studies, and to graduate students, at Cal Poly Humboldt. Recipients are selected by the faculty of their graduate programs, in recognition of excellence in their fields. 

Graduate Council

The purpose of the council is to discuss and approve such things as graduate program policy, program review, and the strategic plan for graduate education. The graduate council consists of the Vice Provost, Academic Programs (Chair), a faculty member (graduate coordinator) from each master's program, and one student representative from each college.
