Walker C. Dorris

I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Oregon, Central Point. I am majoring in Kinesiology with a pre health professions focus, and I am a hurdler on the Cal Poly Humboldt track and field team. My goal is to become a nurse and work in the emergency department, then eventually become a travel nurse and travel around the country, and finally when I am ready to settle down I plan on furthering my education and becoming a nurse practitioner. I am very thankful for this internship opportunity because it gives me the chance to explore and get experience in different specialties, which will give me an upper hand in nursing school applications and deciding which specialty is best for me.
