Lumberjack Weekend Block Party FAQ
The Block Party opens at 4:00 p.m. Make sure to explore the local food vendors before the main musical event!
We encourage attendees to leave bags at home for quicker entry. If needed, clear bags/backpacks are permitted. All bags will be inspected before entry.
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the event, including personal water bottles. But a water filling station and refillable aluminum cups will be available in the venue for free, along with food and beverages for purchase at food trucks and at the bar.

The following items are not allowed in the event:
- Outside food (except baby food) or beverages
- Empty metal or glass water containers
- Bags or backpacks (except clear bags)
- Personal chairs
- Animals except for service animals
- Drugs, alcohol, tobacco products
- Weapons: firearms/simulated firearms, knives, ammunition, tasers/stun guns or similar, mace/pepper spray
- Fireworks, explosive/incendiary devices, aerosols/pressurized cans, lighters
- Gas masks and/or shields
- Laser pointers
- Drones
You can pick up your wristbands at these locations:
- Thursday, University Quad 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Friday, University Quad 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Saturday, Block Party Entrance 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Farmer’s Market 9:00 am to 2 pm
We still have the capacity to register people in-person for the event. It is highly recommended to register in-person during the earliest check-in times above to assure you get a wristband for attendance to the Block Party.
A selection of food trucks will be on-site, and a beer, wine, and cider garden will serve local products to attendees 21+ with valid ID.
Students can pick up free food vouchers, while supplies last. How to pick up food vouchers will be emailed to students the week of the event.
Yes, food and beverage vendors will accept both cash and major credit cards.
Yes, you can exit and re-enter the Block Party as long as you still have your wristband.
Limited tables and chairs will be available. Please note: chairs cannot be moved from the designated dining areas.
No, personal chairs are not allowed due to fire code restrictions.
Parking on campus will be limited. We recommend that people take alternative forms of transportation (walk, bike, or take the bus), but more information on parking can be found here: humboldt.edu/transportation-parking/visitor-parking
There are ADA parking spaces throughout the campus. Find more information on ADA parking.
Only certified service animals are allowed at the event.
Non-professional cameras are allowed. However, professional recording equipment (e.g., tripods, detachable lenses) is prohibited.
We are excited to partner with the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities (CRTP) to offer a free bike valet from 3:30–9:30 p.m. during the Block Party in the G11 North parking lot.
A bike valet works like a coat check for your bicycle: simply check in your bike with an attendant, enjoy the event, and return to pick it up before the valet closes.
