This project explores how Americans access to health care is related to socioeconomic factors across California Counties. Using county level data, I want to examine whether median household income is associated with access to providers, measured as the population to doctor or dentist ratio. I am also interested in how rurality can influence this relationship. Rural areas often face structural barriers to healthcare access. By visualizing and analyzing these variables, the goal is to identify patterns of inequality and better understand how income and geography contribute to disparities in healthcare access across the state.
