"We both met at Humboldt State University, where we got degrees in recreation administration, and we later worked as carpenters," said Dick, co-owner of Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate. "We've always been interested in how things are made. A friend of ours gave us a video of American chocolate makers, which was a profession we never considered."Dick said he and Taylor were immediately fascinated by the process. During Covid, I realized that I could not enjoy retirement by sitting in the recliner surfing the internet everyday. For over 15 years I wanted to open a bookstore. So I retired from teaching and opened an independent bookstore offering new and used books. We are becoming a fixture in the community with book signings by Oklahoma authors twice a month, children's story time, and an event room.
