My name's Jacob and I'll be studying abroad in Puntarenas, Costa Rica through USAC over the summer. I chose the Puntarenas program because I have the strong desire to experience the various cultures of Central America with an emphasis on Costa Rica and its philosophy/lifestyle of 'Pura Vida.' I'm hoping to further extend my knowledge of the Spanish language and furthermore learn and try to understand the linguistic idiosyncrasies that come with every country's way of speaking a language. I am extremely excited and grateful to be able to have the wonderful opportunity of studying abroad.
