1) Grad Slam, March 30

The Grad Slam competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Cal Poly Humboldt graduate students. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. Come learn about our graduate students' research!

2) On-campus job opportunities

The Eric Rofes Multicultural Queer Resource Center is hiring for an Events Director and Volunteer and Resource Director. Job and application details can be found in the above links or on Handshake. Applications are due April 1.

3) ideaFest Registration is Now Open 

The Office of Research, Cal Poly Humboldt Library, and Marketing & Communications would like to invite you to participate in the 10th Annual ideaFest! Students, faculty, and staff from Cal Poly Humboldt will showcase research, live performances, creative projects, and more. The 2023 ideaFest will be held on Friday, May 5th, 2023. This will be a great venue for students to display previously presented professional posters or multimedia presentations at this campus-wide research & creative activities symposium. The deadline to register for ideaFest is Monday, April 24, 2023. Please note that MarCom will be available to print posters free of charge prior to the event. 5) Summer job opportunity related to the environment

The Fund for the Public Interest, a national nonprofit organization that runs campaigns on behalf of leading environmental and social change organizations like Environment America or The Public Interest Research Group, is hiring students for paid, full-time roles on our summer campaigns, as well as long term career opportunities for graduating seniors. We typically run campaigns on legislation related to climate change, plastic waste, and other various environmental, public health, and consumer protection issues. Students who work with us over the summer will gain valuable skills in campaign organization and planning, communication, leadership, and financial and people management as they gain exposure to the operations of a grassroots campaign.
