Course Description
This workshop introduces Lean Six Sigma as a practical, data-informed approach to improving processes, reducing inefficiencies, and enhancing service quality across CSU administrative and campus operations. Participants learn how to apply the DMAIC framework to solve real workplace challenges while centering the needs of students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to explain core Lean Six Sigma principles, apply the DMAIC framework to define and analyze problems, and identify improvement opportunities within their own work processes.

Who Should Attend
Designed for CSU Chancellor’s Office and campus employees at the beginner to intermediate level who want a structured, practical approach to operational improvement. No prior Lean Six Sigma experience is required.

How the Learning Takes Place
This three-hour live virtual session combines short lectures, facilitated discussion, and interactive activities focused on real CSU work scenarios.

There are no required pre-activities; participants are encouraged to come with a general process or challenge from their work in mind.
