Tours for prospective students and their families
Register for a Guided Campus Tour
We offer in-depth two-hour guided campus tours Monday to Friday, with some Saturday dates available, excluding campus holidays.
On our guided campus tours, a student ambassador will lead you through campus, making various stops along the way to point out and talk about many of the different programs and opportunities that are available to our students. In addition to covering our academic programs and their hands-on learning opportunities, your guide will talk about student support services, clubs and athletics, student life, and housing.
Please come ready to enjoy our 'Humboldt Hike' that, at times, includes multiple sets of stairs and occasional hills.

Spring Preview
This spring, Cal Poly Humboldt invites our applied Fall '26 students to our Spring Preview events on Saturday, March 28, 2026, or Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Spring Preview will offer students a series of helpful workshops, meet-and-greets, and tours designed to prepare them for the start of the Fall semester.
President’s Weekend - Information Session + Campus Tour

Hear directly from professional staff from Admissions, Financial Aid, and Housing as they guide you through your next steps for Fall 2026*. Following the session, enjoy a campus tour led by one of our knowledgeable Admissions Ambassadors.
Our professional staff will be available for one-on-one conversations after the tour!
*Everyone is welcome to attend; however, the information session is specifically designed for students who have applied for the Fall 2026 semester.
Registration will be open on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Student For A Day
Want to experience what it’s like to be a student for the day at Cal Poly Humboldt? This would be the perfect opportunity!
Sit in on some classes, eat lunch in the J, take a campus tour, and more!
You will be assigned your classes based on your declared major or general areas of interest. Act fast, as there are limited spots available in certain classes!

This opportunity is exclusively available to first-year and transfer students who have applied for Fall 2026.

Preparing For Your Tour
How to get here
Take a look at our campus map to find the parking lots (G11 recommended). Make sure you arrive early enough to pick up your free parking pass, find parking, and walk to the tour check-in location in the Student & Business Services Building.
What to Wear/Bring
The campus of Cal Poly Humboldt is amazingly beautiful and slightly rugged. For your comfort, we suggest that you be prepared for varied weather conditions from full sun to cool rain.
Are you a school or organization looking for a campus tour?
Submit a Visit Request Form for a Group Campus Tour
We offer large group guided campus tours Monday through Thursday, excluding campus holidays. Group tours are required to register in advance.
Once you have submitted your request form, the visit experience coordinator will follow up and confirm your request.
