Eliza Klinger
Theatre Program Leader
Eliza Klinger (she/her/hers), one of the Theatre Program Leaders, has taught Acting and Theatre History courses at Cal Poly Humboldt and co-directed Clue in 2025. For over 10 years, Eliza has served as the Managing Director at North Coast Dance (NCD), a non-profit dance company and training center in Eureka. Prior to her work with NCD, Eliza was a member of the Actor's Equity Association performing with, directing for, and instructing classes at Artists Rep, Portland Center Stage, Oregon Children's Theatre, Staged Musical Theatre, Polaris Dance, Walnut Street Theatre, and the Prince Musical Theatre to name a few favorites.
One of her favorite industry experiences was in a commercial for Holman Ford, in Maple Shade, NJ, where she was dressed as Dorothy, from the Wizard of Oz, held a set of keys with a fuzzy Toto keychain, and chanted, "there's no place like Holman, " over and over again on a humid Philadelphia day.
Eliza has taught directing, voice, clown, movement, and mask courses for the Universidad Autonoma de Hidalgo in Mexico City, Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, and at Cumberland County College & Rutgers University both in the illustrious state of New Jersey. She holds an M.F.A. in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre from Dell'Arte International, and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
