Jared Coyle

Clarinet
Jared Coyle is a music educator and clarinetist with over 20 years of experience teaching instrumental, vocal, and classroom music. He currently teaches K–8 music in the Fortuna Elementary School District, serves as a lecturer in the Department of Dance, Music & Theatre at Cal Poly Humboldt, and is the Conductor of the Scotia Band.
Mr. Coyle holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Cal Poly Humboldt, along with multiple California teaching credentials and a K–12 Computer Science authorization. He is an active member of the California Teachers Association, the California Music Educators Association, and the Organization of American Kodály Educators.
An advocate for integrating technology into music education, Mr. Coyle has earned certificates in Advanced Software Development and Python Programming. He performs regularly in a variety of chamber music and solo settings, serves on the board of the Fortuna Concert Series, and mentors new teachers through the North Coast Teacher Induction Program.
