Job description: I currently co-manage an 1,800 regenerative ranch in the North Bay Area. I undergo projects such as native grass propagation, tree planting in riparian areas, livestock husbandry, garden maintenance in a two-acre food forest, trail building, soil and water tests, etc.

Why did you choose this program?
I chose Environmental Studies because I wanted to learn more about the ways in which environmental disparities impact certain human populations that are more vulnerable to climate change.
How did this program prepare you for your job?
This program prepared me for my job by allowing me to see the world through a lens that includes all faces and hears all perspectives when it comes to food justice and privileges around land ownership.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
What I enjoyed most about the program was the wide scope of topics and classes provided from conservation science to environmental justice.
What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?
I would say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program that they should consider it if they want to learn not just about the environment but also to learn more about themselves and the power they have to make a difference in their communities.
