About Jairo Luque

What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?

Don’t give up easily – solving complex problems isn’t easy. Work with other ERE students and stay close to your graduating class. Attend study groups, but also work on your own to know your strengths and weaknesses (try to find a good balance). Don’t be intimidated by upper classmen/women. Reach out to them for advice or help. Get involved in ERE clubs and extracurricular activities while prioritizing your homework/projects! If you are stuck on something for more than 10-20 minutes – breathe, move on, ask, then come back to it. I still do this at work. ERE professors, lecturers, and classmates want to see you succeed so ask questions, go see your professors during office hours, work with others and try your best.
