Cara Sue Kuhn

Cara Sue Kuhn is an enrolled citizen of the federally-recognized Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation. She was raised on her Tolowa homelands and engrained within her community and culture.  She is committed to community service through the realms of mental health advocacy, economic development and the promotion of arts and culture. She is a former committee member for the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation NAGPRA committee and is dedicated to supporting the work of repatriation and grave protection. Cara completed her Masters of Business Administration program in Strategic Sustainability from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2016. Cara also graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Native American Studies, minors in Sociology and Business Administration with Honors Cum Laude. Cara also has completed certificate programs from Columbia University in International Indigenous Studies and Cornell University in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Cara has two decades of work experience in varying industries. Skills that she has acquired throughout her work history include; grant making, customer service, administrative assistance, accounting, food and beverage handling, sales, and data entry. Aside from her professional and personal attributes, she is also a traditional basketweaver, specializing in child rearing basket creation and uses.
