Barbara Kingsolver: A Literary Voice Of Conscience

Pulitzer Prize winning novelist, poet, and essayist Barbara Kingsolver is the ultimate storyteller. Her books are rich with empathy which helps guide her readers to an understanding of the chaos inherent in contemporary life. In this class, we will discuss her career and her extensive body of work. The instructor will address the impact Kingsolver has had on the current world of literature and will speak about each of her books. Students will have the opportunity to give their perspectives on Kingsolver's work.

Bonnie Shand

Bonnie Shand has been writing poetry since she was 18 years old, and her work has been published in a variety of journals. She has taught creative writing since the 1980s and has taught classes through OLLI since 2009.
