Mark Colwell

Mark Colwell is a retired faculty member who taught ornithology and other bird courses in the Dept. of Wildlife at Humboldt State University/Cal Poly Humboldt for 35 years. His research specialty was shorebirds. He coauthored over 100 scientific papers and two books on shorebirds, many co-authored with his graduate students. He was honored by the university with awards as Outstanding Professor and Scholar of the Year.
