Painting With Scissors

With Louise Bacon-Ogden, Artist

With colorful paper and scissors, we will create art inspired by Henri Matisse. Learn a bit about Matisse, and then follow his lead and cut abstract shapes and the undersea creatures he loved when visiting the tropics. Shapes will then be glued onto paper to create a pleasing piece of art.

No experience necessary plus all supplies will be available. If you wish, bring scissors, plain colorful paper, and a glue stick.

Louise Bacon-Ogden

Louise Bacon-Ogden is the originator of Strictly for the Birds, a store in Eureka, California (now closed). After retiring, she wanted to carry her love for birds into art. This combination is "the best of both worlds."
