Welcome Parents and Families!
We understand that the transition to college is a significant milestone not just for students but also for their families. From orientation schedules and campus resources to tips on fostering independence, the goal is to ensure you have all the information you need to feel confident and connected as your student begins their Humboldt journey.
Learn more about the next steps for your students and how you can help along the way by joining one of the "Next Steps" Webinars held over the summer. Each session will provide helpful information and an opportunity to have your questions answered by campus staff. The webinars are weekly on Wednesdays from 6-7pm in June, July and August.
Registration for all sessions opens on Monday, May 18, 2026, through your Applicant Status Page.

Celebrate the start of your student’s journey after move-in with a relaxed afternoon of great food, music, and community. Connect with other families, meet campus staff, and enjoy a taste of Humboldt hospitality. All are welcome!

Forever Humboldt Student Send Off Picnics
Join the Forever Humboldt Student Send Off picnic in an area near you! Forever Humboldt Student Send Offs are fun picnic gatherings in various cities across California to welcome new incoming Cal Poly Humboldt students.
These picnics are opportunities for incoming students and their families to meet other Forever Humboldt alumni members, incoming students, and families. This is an event where alumni can congratulate incoming students, share their stories about Humboldt, and give tips on what to expect as a new Humboldt student!
