Marylisa Wood

I was born and raised in Paradise, CA starting my higher education at Butte College and transferring to Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR. I graduated with my bachelors in Communication Studies with a business certificate in Nonprofit Management. After I graduated I accepted a position in Minneapolis, MN as part of the national fundraising team for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. From there I continued my work with the National MS Society in Denver, CO while getting to enjoy all stunning outdoor splendor of the rockies. With a desire to be closer to family I accepted a position at California State University, Chico as the Student Organization Financial Coordinator where I found my love for working in higher education and supporting students. After four years at Chico State I was thrilled to accept a position at Cal Poly Humboldt bringing me to a location I have loved since a child and to a position that challenges and inspires me on a daily basis. I love exploring the magic of the redwoods and breathing in the fresh ocean air every day. I am honored to have the opportunity to support and encourage our students everyday as they build their own unique future's here at Cal Poly Humboldt.
