1) Panetta Congressional Internship Program, deadline March 10
This expenses-paid program includes a two-week academic orientation to national politics and protocol at the Panetta Institute in Monterey, CA, with an eleven-week experiential education as a Panetta intern in a Washington, D.C. office of a California member of the U.S. House of Representatives. The internship is open to students from all majors, but an applicant should have an interest in public service. To qualify, a student must be a U.S. Citizen and California resident, be enrolled in a degree-granting program at Cal Poly Humboldt, have achieved a minimum 60 graded units but no more than 120 units in Fall 2023 semester, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. UC Irvine School of Law’s Pre-Law Outreach Program ("POP") is a program designed to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds understand the demands of law school, prepare for the law school application and admissions process, and be inspired to one day use their legal skills to give back to the community. Students from various universities and community colleges are selected each year to participate. Forty students are selected each year to participate.
There is NO CHARGE for students admitted to the program, which provides:
- A certificate for a free LSAT Review course.
- Detailed information on the law school admissions process.
- Detailed information about the costs of law school and financial aid.
- Advice about excelling in law school from law students, faculty, and recent graduates.
- Information about careers in law from practicing lawyers in many fields.
- Limited scholarships for transportation and/or housing costs.

Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability holds online informational webinars for prospective students to learn more about graduate school options in our MBA in Sustainability and Center for Environmental Policy programs. Learn about our programs directly from Director Eban Goodstein and the admissions team. There will be a time for questions at the end of the session. The application deadline for the 2023 Summer Internship Program has been extended!Applications are now due on Sunday, March 5th, 2023. Please use this Google Form application to submit all application materials. APICA is a non-partisan, non-profit organization of legislative staffers, lobbyists, and advocates, as well as other API professionals in the Capitol Community in Sacramento. We will host a 10-week summer internship at the State Capitol in Sacramento from June 19 to August 25. The internship is for current college students, 21 years of age or older at the time of the internship, who are interested in public policy and public service. All students are welcome to apply.The program provides participants with a $4,960 stipend, an orientation and introduction to state government, mentorship with API Capitol staff, and a substantive, meaningful, in-person work experience in a legislative office in either the California State Assembly or California State Senate.
