Text: 101 construction article. Bids will soon be advertised for a 3.5 mile section from the south boundary line of Del Norte County. South to Richardson Creek. This will complete the last gap between Eureka & the Klamath River. Currently 14.6 mile are under construction north of Orick & this will join the new 3.5 mile section. This 18.1 mile section ( 14.6 & 3.5) eliminates the worst features of 101 of a trip north to the Klamath River. On 299 - a convict camp will be established at Weaverville to complete the "Trinity Lateral" highway. A large portion is a already completed.
