Text: Widening of highway 96 between 99 and Walker will be completed this week. This 20 mile section ha been widened to 24ft. Originally built in 1922 to 1923 to a width of 16' to 18', this section become a bottleneck with the growth of logging and logging trucks. Next year the road will be surfaced with plant - mix.
