Text: According to State Engr. Nat Ellery, the new highway (Highway 36) connecting Trinidad county with Humboldt county will be completed in 1910. Just as soon as some R/W issues are resolved he will have a crew put to work at Low Gap on the Mad River. To get it done it will require same temporary bridges & some 8' feet wide sections instead of 12' feet as called for in the original survey. About 28 miles remain to be constructed.
