Article on Alderpoint and some history of it during the 1876 through 1916 period related to: the opening of the road north through Harris to the mouth of the South Fork Eel River; then the construction of road parallel to the main Eel River from Fort Seward to Alderpoint to accommodate the construction of the railroad by Northwestern Pacific. They tried to give the road to the County, but the County refused to take it.
