Currently there are 12 miles of road running west from Bull Creek towards the Upper Mattole. The apple growers desire to have a new road graded over the remaining gap by the time the next crop mature: Then apples can be hauled by truck from Upper Mattole to South Fork where they can be loaded onto rail cars.
