Text: The Arcata City Council signed a contract with H.S. Noram to negotiate for the bond sale at the cost of expenses. The money from the sale of bonds would be used to fund the $250,000 water project on Jacoby Creek. In 1942 the city purchased water rights on Jacoby Crk from J.N. Lentell. The water from Jacoby crk would flow by gravity to the city. A $50,000 bond sale would raise $ to repair the present sewer system in the college hill district and provide for additional sewers in the newly populated areas. (see next entry).
