Arcata Freeway to open on July 13th. Work began on this (2.85) 2.8m. section Aug. 5, 1952. Two overhead structures were built. Ran from Gannon Slough to the BIg 4. Work just started on the 4 mile section from Gannon St. to Eureka Slough.
