The artesian well at Engine House #1 was tested yesterday. Its 213 feet deep with a 6 feet pipe in it. A 1 feet pipe was inserted & a donkey engine pumped water out of it at 20 qpm for 10 hours= 1200 gallons. Very little effect. The reservoir tanks at Engine House #1, 2nd & G, and 1st & F depend on this well.
