Text: Article on the $20 million development called the Eureka Comm. Center was announced by the Charles J. Chandler Company. The development , known as Fairway Park. It includes 175 acre in the Municipal Golf course and initial plans call for 450 homes and a 30 acres shopping center and a clubhouse. The project is part of the Lundblade - Barnum annexation. The property has been purchased by the Chandler Company. Immediate work has commenced on the Starwood Unit which is 50 lots off F street near the Golf course. The 5 year development is planned in 5 units, the shopping center to be constructed in later units. The ? let a contract for a pumping station which will collect sewage not only from the proposed development but also from all other inside - city territory in the area. The city area being developed was annexed in 1956 under the admin. of George C. Jacobs as mayor. Fred Lundblad and Robert Barunm granted the city the site of the Municipal Golf Course and the Lundblock - Barnum Recreational Park. Engineering of the development is W & K Eng's.
