Text: A group petitioned the Board of Supervisors, in May 1930, to investigate and establish a county-owned airport. The Board of Supervisors passed this matter to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission investigated several sites and recommended a portion (100 acres) of the DeVoy Tract.
