Text: The newly completed state designed bridge over the South Fork Eel south Garberville. The article includes 3 photos. Originally Humboldt County in 1919 designed & built a wooden bridge consisting of Redwood timber - 2 howe truss 154 ft spans with 100' wooden trestle approaches. This new realignment of 101 with a 20' foot hard surface and shoulders was started in 1934.
