Text: "Ditching Had Important Part in Local Campaign to Get rid of Mosquitos" Good article on drainage ditches construction to drain the salt marshes West of Broadway. Much work remained to drain the pound at 7th & Myrtle, South Park area, a deep depression at 17th and J, another deep depression at Henderson and Spring Streets, and two large borrow pits west of 5th & Broadway. This report was presented to the City Council by Brunson P. Bliven.
