Text: "Old Timer! Do You Remember When…" This column describes the gun factory and building at the corner of Sonoma and H Streets. It was erected in the late 1880's; the business of manufacturing guns didn't succeed. The building burned down one night - it was an old landmark for many years. Tramps occupied it off and on. Mr. W.R. Finch was the original holder of the patents on firearms and built the plant.
