Text: Article on the status of the survey of the natural resources of the North West Calif. Vernon J. Hanson, Chief of Eureka Dev. Field branch is coord. The survey was started in 1952 and is expected to be completed in 1960. The purpose of the survey being conducted by the D.O.I. is to consider all the natural resources of the North West and how they can be developed. One part of the project is the making of 15 min. & 7.5 min. USGS quad maps. Profile maps of the Klamath , Trinity and New Rivers have been completed for some 298 miles of their length.
