"Battle over Diversion of Trinity River Looms". The directions of the Eureka C of C bristled at the proposal to take water from the Trinity river for the benefit of the Central Valley. Claire Hill attended & tried to explain the benefits that would occur to this area but was not able to answer questions on the impacts to fish, recreation & future economic possibilities. The directors voted to oppose SB III introduced by Sen. Regan of Trinity County.
